Abstract

Abstrak: UMKM Alenk Jaya yang bergerak di bidang minuman herbal masih melakukan pengemasan secara manual sehingga kualitas kemasan kurang higienis, kurang menarik, dan kapasitas produksi terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pengemasan, kapasitas produksi, dan daya saing produk melalui penerapan mesin cup sealer. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin, serta pendampingan. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test berbasis observasi langsung terhadap 6 anggota UMKM. Indikator evaluasi keterampilan meliputi kemampuan menyiapkan mesin cup sealer, menjalankan proses sealing, dan perawatan sederhana mesin. Setiap indikator diberi skor 1 apabila peserta mampu melakukan dengan benar dan mandiri, serta skor 0 apabila belum mampu, kemudian dihitung menggunakan rumus jumlah skor diperoleh dibagi skor maksimal dikalikan 100%. Hasil observasi menunjukkan keterampilan peserta meningkat dari 41,7% menjadi 91,7% setelah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kapasitas pengemasan berdasarkan rata-rata jumlah produk yang dikemas per hari, yaitu meningkat dari 80 cup/hari menjadi 250 cup/hari atau sebesar 212,5%, sehingga program dinilai berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan, kualitas kemasan, dan produktivitas UMKM.Abstract: Alenk Jaya MSME, which operates in the herbal beverage sector, still handles packaging manually, resulting in packaging that is less hygienic, less attractive, and limited in production capacity. This community service activity aimed to improve packaging quality, production capacity, and product competitiveness by applying a cup sealer machine. The methods used included observation, socialization, training on machine operation and maintenance, and mentoring. The activity evaluation used pre-test and post-test observations of 6 MSME members. Skill evaluation indicators included the ability to prepare the cup sealer machine, carry out the sealing process, and perform simple machine maintenance. Each indicator was scored 1 if the participant performed it correctly and independently, and 0 if they were not yet able to do so; the total score was divided by the maximum score and multiplied by 100% to obtain the percentage score. The observation results showed that participants’ skills increased from 41.7% to 91.7% after training and mentoring. Packaging capacity, measured as the average number of products packaged per day, increased from 80 cups/day to 250 cups/day, or by 212.5%, indicating that the program successfully improved the MSME's skills, packaging quality, and productivity.
