Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan sektor industri olahan komoditas batubara menumbuhkan persoalan daripada limbah yang dihasilkan. Prospek pengolahan hasil limbah menjadi olahan yang berdampak bagi masyarakat merupakan sektor yang banyak diteliti. Hilirisasi hasil penelitian olahan limbah bottom ash menjadi produk konstruksi, yaitu batu bata ringan (Cellular Lightweight Concrete), diimplementasikan dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan peningkatan kapasitas keterampilan praktis produk teknologi tepat guna serta meningkatkan kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat Desa Lapeo, Kecamatan Campalagian. Melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dikombinasikan dengan transfer teknologi dan pemberdayaan komunitas merupakan metode yang diimplementasikan kepada peserta kegiatan pelatihan sebanyak 40 orang. Pengukuran menggunakan kuesioner dilakukan kepada peserta sebelum dan setelah kegiatan dalam rangka mengukur ketercapaian hasil akhir kegiatan. Hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan kapasitas peserta setelah kegiatan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 48,20 % daripada sebelumnya. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan mampu terwujud sesuai dengan target yang diharapkan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat.Abstract: The development of the coal commodity processing industry sector has given rise to problems related to the waste produced. The prospect of processing waste into products that have an impact on the community is a sector that has been widely researched. The downstreaming of research results on processing bottom ash waste into construction products, namely lightweight bricks (Cellular Lightweight Concrete), was implemented in the form of community service with the aim of increasing the capacity of practical skills in appropriate technology products and improving the socio-economic conditions of the people of Lapeo Village, Campalagian District. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach combined with technology transfer and community empowerment is a method implemented for 40 training participants. Measurements using questionnaires were carried out to participants before and after the activity in order to measure the achievement of the final results of the activity. The results obtained showed that there was an increase in participants' knowledge and capacity after the activity, with an average increase of 48.20% compared to before. These results indicate that the effectiveness of the implementation of training activities was able to be realized in accordance with the targets expected by the community service team.
