Abstract

Medical equipment functional test and calibration is a routine activity that must be carried on periodically. Electrocardiograph (ECG) requires an ECG phantom to calibrate the function. This calibrator is commonly called ECG signal simulator. The purpose of this study is to design a simple ECG signal simulator with ten leads of signals that can be used to test ECG recorders with standard recording procedures. With the ECG signal simulator that was designed and made, the development of signal patterns can be made as needed. The normal human cardiac signal displayed on the ECGSIM software. The potential value that displayed on ECGSIM software can be extracted manually and assembled as a flash program of microcontroller, so this microcontroller will generate some digital code by each parallel port. This digital code then converted as an analog signal by DAC. The electrocardiograph signal simulator output is an analog signal that identical with each lead according to the recording method of bipolar, unipolar and precordial of ECG. This analog signal was tested using a standard ECG recorder. It is proved that the simulator is able to generate an electrical signal in accordance with the characteristics of the human cardiac signal displayed on ECGSIM software. The results of human electrocardiograph signal simulator design are a device that generates electrical signals with output specifications that correspond to the bioelectric signals of the human heart. The statistical test showed that the p-value is more than 0.05. It is mean that there is no significant difference between the design and standard. The signals pattern has met the specification of ECGSIM signal

Abstract

Abstract

In the last two years, the world has been preoccupied with the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19) infection, which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the increasing use of oxygen caused a new problem, namely oxygen supply. The large number of patients who need a ventilator at the same time can endanger the oxygen supply. This research is a quantitative study. The sample in this study was taken as a total population, namely the number of inpatients per day at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil in 2021. The research was conducted from July to December 2022. Data analysis used SPSS by looking at bivariate correlation analysis. The results of the univariate analysis found that oxygen use during 2021 at RSUP Dr.M.Djamil Hospital Padang was 1351.5m3. The number of inpatients during 2021 at RSUP Dr.M.Djamil Padang was 164,207 patients, inpatients with covid (14.86%) and non-covid (85.14%). Based on the statistical test results, it is known that there is a correlation between the variable number of inpatients (covid, intensive covid, non-incentive covid, non-covid, non-intensive covid, non-intensive covid (0.001).There is a correlation between the number of hospitalized patients and liquid oxygen consumption. It is hoped that the hospital can improve services in dealing with Covid-19 at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang especially in making policies related to the management of oxygen availability. The public is expected to comply with health protocols so that the handling of Covid-19 cases does not occur out of control. Keywords : COVID-19;Oxygen;Inpatient;Correlation

Abstract

Around 10 million cases of cancer are discovered in the world per year, and it will continue to increase. Half of cancer cases require radiotherapy as treatment therapy. Dr. M. Djamil General Hospital, Padang, in 2021, has only 1 Cobalt radiotherapy. This study aimed to analyze the demand and supply of radiotherapy services at Dr. M. Djamil General Hospital, Padang. This descriptive study was conducted at Dr. M. Djamil General Hospital, Padang from May to December 2022. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis to describe the variables studied. This study reported that 241 patients were registered and received radiotherapy services. The stages of radiotherapy are consultation, simulator, molding, TPS, and radiation. In the irradiation stage with Cobalt, an average of 25 minutes per irradiation was carried out, and on average, each patient underwent 18 irradiations. Based on the data, the estimated demand cannot yet be met due to the availability of tools and other obstacles. Irradiation with LINAC is more effective and efficient in terms of cost and time. It is hoped that the hospital can plan tools to optimize radiotherapy services at Dr. M. Djamil General Hospital, Padang.
