Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using Wordwall learning media on conceptual knowledge in social studies subjects with international trade material. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach. This research design uses a true experiment consisting of a pre test and post test control group, with 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 6 Sidoarjo. The data collection method used in this research was through interviews with class VIII social studies teachers. The research results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of concepts after learning using wordwall with an average posttest score for the experimental class of 86.47 and the control class of 65.88. The Wilcoxson test results obtained a Z value of -4.960 with a p value (Asymp. Sig 2 tailed) of 0.00 which is less than the research critical limit of 0.05 so that the hypothesis decision is to accept H1 or which means there is a significant difference between the groups. pretest and posttest. It can be concluded that there is an influence of wordwall interactive learning media on students' understanding of concepts in international trade material.
