Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to produce learning media Pop up book for reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN Godog; 2) to describe the quality of the Pop Up Book quality of Pop Up Book learning media products for reading skills of grade 1 students of SDN Godog based on product validity. This research uses the research method (R&D). Development research This development research refers to the 4-D development model development model developed by Thiagarajan which It consists of the stages: defining, designing, developing and disseminating. However, this research only reached the development stage. Subjects in this research The subjects in this study were grade 1 students of SDN Godog. The instruments used in this research The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The results of this study is the overall validity test gets a high score with criteria very feasible. Pop up book media validation got a score with an average of 88% very feasible criteria. Test based on teacher's response showed 91% and parent's response showed 90%, both with the criteria “very practical”, and the effectiveness of Pop up book media is declared “effective”. This can be seen from the test questions that have been done. Thus, the development of Pop up book media on material recognizes the letters of the alphabet for reading skills of grade 1 students elementary school has been feasible, and is feasible to be applied to Indonesian language learning on material to recognize the letters of the alphabet.
