Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how employee performance at the North Sumatra Provincial Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) is influenced by work discipline, job satisfaction, and workplace stress. This study employed an associative research design with a quantitative descriptive method. Using the Slovin formula and a simple random sampling technique, 60 respondents were selected from a population of 150 research participants. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using SPSS software.The findings revealed that employee performance was positively and significantly influenced by work discipline (t-count 3.670 > t-table 2.003), job satisfaction (t-count 4.982 > t-table 2.003), and work stress (t-count 4.356 > t-table 2.003). The work stress results indicated a phenomenon of eustress, where election-related responsibilities and pressures actually enhanced employee productivity. Simultaneously, the three independent variables collectively had a significant effect on employee performance (F-count > F-table 2.760). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.693 indicated that work discipline, job satisfaction, and work stress explained 69.3% of the variance in employee performance, while the remaining percentage was influenced by factors not included in this research model.
