Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between concentration level and shooting accuracy in futsal among extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 7 Watampone. This research used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sample consisted of 15 students participating in the futsal extracurricular activity using a total sampling technique. The instruments used were the Grid Concentration Test to measure concentration and a shooting test toward the goal to measure shooting accuracy. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, ANOVA linearity test, and Pearson and Spearman correlation tests through SPSS. The results showed that the average concentration percentage of students was 57.6% (moderate to high category), and the average shooting success rate was 57.8%. The Pearson correlation test resulted in r = -0.156 (p = 0.578), and the Spearman correlation test resulted in ρ = -0.024 (p = 0.931), both of which were not statistically significant. However, descriptively there was a tendency that students with higher concentration produced more accurate shooting. The conclusion of this study is that there was no statistically significant relationship between concentration and shooting accuracy in this sample, although practically concentration still plays an important role in futsal shooting skills.
