Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between leg muscle strength and leg length on shooting ability in football among players of Alorcy FC, Bone Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method through test and measurement techniques. The variables examined include leg muscle strength (X1), leg length (X2), and shooting ability (Y). The analysis results indicate that leg muscle strength does not have a significant relationship with shooting ability (R = 0.482; F = 3.937; p = 0.069 > 0.05). Leg length has a significant and strong relationship with shooting ability (R = 0.663; F = 10.185; p = 0.007 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant relationship with shooting ability (R = 0.705; F = 5.933; p = 0.016 < 0.05) with a coefficient of determination of 49.7%. These findings confirm that anthropometric factors, particularly leg length, constitute an important physical component influencing the effectiveness of shooting in football.
