Abstract

The use of e-cigarettes among adolescents is increasing and has become a serious health problem, primarily due to a lack of knowledge and misperceptions about the risks. This study aims to determine the effect of animated video media on improving students' knowledge and attitudes in rejecting e-cigarettes. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. It was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Jambi City with a sample of 46 respondents selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected through knowledge and attitude questionnaires, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after the animated video intervention (p=0.000), where most respondents experienced an increase in the knowledge category to good.
