Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a valid, practical, and effective differentiated teaching module on the Pancasila Education that can be used by teachers in the process of teaching and learning activities. The research used a type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the 4-D development model which consists of several stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data was collected through expert validation techniques, teacher response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest. The results showed that the development of differentiated teaching modules was declared very valid with an average score of 86.33% from the validator team. The results of the teacher response questionnaire obtained a score of 91.4% with very practical criteria. While the results of the n-gain test analysis obtained an average score of 0.54 with moderately effective criteria. Thus, the results of the product development of differentiated teaching modules are very valid, very practical, and quite effective and can be used by teachers as teaching tools on the Pancasila Education in grade IV.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of students' understanding of the material on plane geometry elements and the limited use of innovative and interactive learning media in elementary school mathematics learning. This condition can cause some students to tend to be less active, bored, and have problems understanding learning concepts. The research conducted has the aim of developing a Jumanji Board Game learning media based on cultural diversity integrated with the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model, and to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. The research conducted uses the R&D method using the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at SDN Sugihwaras 1 with 20 third-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, validation sheets, response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the Jumanji Board Game media based on cultural diversity obtained a very valid category with a validation percentage of media experts of 92.63%, material experts of 85.33%, and language experts of 100%. The media was also deemed highly practical, based on 94.29% teacher responses and 90% student responses. Furthermore, the media proved effective in improving student learning outcomes, as demonstrated by an increase in the average pretest score from 64.93 to 95.20 on the posttest. Therefore, the Jumanji Board Game media, based on cultural diversity and integrated with the TGT model, is suitable for use as a mathematics learning medium because it can increase student understanding, motivation, activeness, and engagement in the learning process

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the lack of reading comprehension skills of fourth grade elementary school students, which is seen from the students' difficulties in finding the main idea, understanding the content of the reading, and re-conveying the information that has been read. The purpose of the research is to develop a Story Card (KARCITA) learning media combined with the STAD learning model, with this being able to determine the level of feasibility or validity of media development, as well as testing its effectiveness in improving reading skills related to student understanding. The research method implemented is R&D which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study involved 20 fourth grade students of SDN Sugihwaras 01 as research subjects. Data collection in this study was carried out through observation, interviews, expert validation sheets, response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study showed that the KARCITA media obtained a very high level of validity, with a percentage of 94% based on the assessment of media experts. From the practical aspect, this media also obtained a very good category, which was indicated by the percentage of teacher responses of 97% and student responses of 93%. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the media is seen from the increase in students' reading comprehension skills, which is indicated by an increase in the average score from 62.77 in the pretest stage to 94.95 in the posttest stage. Based on these findings, the KARCITA learning media combined with the STAD model is considered to meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness so that it is suitable for use in improving the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade elementary school students.
