Al-Miftah Lil Ulum is an instructional method designed to facilitate the learning of Arabic grammar through a systematic and practical approach. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its application, and examine its effectiveness in improving students’ understanding of Arabic grammar. The study employed a quantitative approach using a One-Group Pretestt–Posttest Design. The participants were ninth-grade students of the Tahfidz (1) class at Madrasah Al-Qur’an Islamic Junior High School, Tebuireng Jombang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The findings revealed that the method was implemented systematically through the use of manzhumah (mnemonic poetic texts) and gradual presentation of grammatical concepts. Supporting factors included the Islamic boarding school environment, teacher competence, and continuous assessment, while inhibiting factors consisted of differences in students’ abilities, low learning motivation among some students, limited instructional time, and insufficient independent review. The posttest results showed a significant improvement compared to the Pretestt results, with 75% of students achieving a “Very Good” category. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method was effective in improving students’ understanding of Arabic grammar.
