<![CDATA[This study aims to find out the effect of implementing a project-based learning model on stundents’ learning outcomes in Social Studies for eight-grade students at MTS Negeri 3 Medan. This research is quantitative with a Quasi Experimental approach using a non-equivalent control group design. The population and sample in this study are eight-grade students, with class VIII-8 consisting of 24 students as the control class and class VIII-2 consisting of 30 students as the experimental class. The test instruments used to measure students’ learning outcomes were multiple-choice tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests consisting of 25 questions thad had been validated by lecturer and students. The data analysis used was t-test. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) In the control class, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005 was obtained. This indicates that there was an improvement in students’ learning outcomes in the control class after the learning process; 2) In the experimental class, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005 was obtained. This indicates in students’ learning outcomes after applying the project-based learning model; 3) Both classes experienced an increase in learning outcomes, but the experimental class showed a better improvement. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test, a significant difference in learning outcome improvements between the control class and the experimental class.
