Abstract

Bullying among elementary school students often receives insufficient attention, despite its increasingly diverse forms that combine physical violence and discriminatory verbal abuse. Since elementary school is a crucial phase for a child's self concept development, this experience of violence can have long term psychological impacts. This study aims to identify multidimensional forms of early childhood bullying including physical aggression, mocking parents names, and racism, while examining its influence on students psychosocial development through a mixed methods approach using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The findings indicate that verbal bullying in the form of mocking and insults is the most dominant type experienced by students, followed by relational bullying such as social exclusion. The impacts include sadness, decreased self confidence, and reduced comfort for students in their learning environment. Therefore, strengthening character education, empathy, and collaboration among schools, teachers, and parents is essential to prevent bullying in elementary schools.
