Abstract

This research was prompted by the consistent low mathematics achievement among elementary school students, which appears to stem from the common belief that the subject is difficult, as well as the lack of engaging and interactive learning tools. The main objectives were to develop, evaluate the feasibility, assess the practicality, and measure the effectiveness of a Game Learning-based learning media "Jejak Logika Nusantara" designed to teach integers up to 1,000,000. This research followed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. A trial was conducted with 12 fifth-grade students at Banjarsari Public Elementary School, using an expert validation form, a teacher assessment questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, and pretest and posttest assessments. The results showed that the media was highly feasible, with evaluations from media, material, and language experts scoring 87%, 95.5%, and 88.3%, respectively. The practicality aspect was also highly rated by teachers and students, with scores between 91% and 100%. The effectiveness analysis showed a statistically significant increase in learning outcomes, supported by a significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05. The novelty of this study is the use of a snakes and ladders style game enriched with cultural content from 16 provinces in Indonesia, which combines the development of mathematical skills with Nusantara culture.
