<![CDATA[This study aimed to examine the relationship between resilience and social anxiety among fatherless adolescents at SMA Negeri 13 Medan. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 400 tenth- and eleventh-grade students. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the following criteria: adolescents who still had a living father but received limited paternal affection, emotional support, attention, and involvement in their daily lives. An initial screening was conducted to identify participants who met these criteria, resulting in a sample of 135 fatherless adolescents. Data were collected using the Resilience Scale and the Social Anxiety Scale, both of which met the required validity and reliability criteria. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results indicated that both variables were normally distributed, with significance values of 0.841 for resilience and 0.872 for social anxiety. The linearity test yielded a deviation from linearity significance value of 0.251, indicating a linear relationship between the variables. The correlation analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.491, indicating a statistically significant negative correlation of moderate strength. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between resilience and social anxiety among fatherless adolescents at SMA Negeri 13 Medan, with a moderate level of correlation.]]>
