<![CDATA[Career maturity is developmental and psychological readiness that is very crucial for final year Vocational High School (SMK) students in facing the transition period from the world of education to the world of work or further education. This study aims to determine the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy (self-confidence in career decision-making) and career maturity in grade XII students at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The research design used was quantitative correlational involving 269 respondents who were selected using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Indonesia Scale (CDMSE-Ind) and the Career Maturity Inventory (CMI) adaptation scale. Because the relationships between variables are not linear, hypothesis testing is carried out using Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity in grade XII students of SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi (r = 0.044; p = 0.471 > 0.05), so the alternative hypothesis was rejected. This indicates that a high level of students' self-confidence in making career decisions is not necessarily a predictor of their high career maturity. These results lead to the conclusion that career maturity is a complex concept that is likely to be more predominantly influenced by other factors, such as parental support, field work practice experience (PKL), and career guidance programs in schools. Therefore, optimizing career counseling guidance services and providing adequate career information is needed to improve the career maturity of vocational school students as a whole.]]>
