Abstract

The limited use of interactive learning media in elementary schools has caused IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning to remain teacher-centered, resulting in low student engagement and motivation. Therefore, innovative learning media are needed to create more interactive and meaningful learning experiences. This study aimed to develop interactive learning media based on an educational game using Canva and to determine its validity for fourth-grade IPAS learning. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which was limited to the Development stage. The development process included the Analysis, Design, and Development stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and validation questionnaires. The developed product consists of a main menu, learning materials, interactive navigation using hyperlinks, educational games, quizzes, and evaluation activities. Media validation was conducted by two validators, namely an elementary school teacher and a lecturer. The validation data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques with a four-point Likert scale. The results showed that the media obtained a validity score of 91.6% from the elementary school teacher and 94.82% from the lecturer, both categorized as Very Valid. These findings indicate that the developed interactive learning media is feasible as an innovative learning medium for IPAS in elementary schools and has the potential to support more engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning.
