Abstract

Cardiorespiratory endurance is one of the most important physical components that supports football referees in leading matches effectively. Referees in inter-village football competitions (tarkam) are required to maintain optimal physical fitness because they must continuously follow the pace of the game, maintain concentration, and make accurate decisions throughout the match. This study aimed to determine the cardiorespiratory endurance profile of football referees in Region VI Jampangkulon. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 15 active referees selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run (PACER Test), referring to the National Student Fitness Test (TKPN) issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Indonesia. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics through frequency distributions and percentages based on PACER Test norms. The findings revealed that the highest PACER score was 102 and the lowest was 88, while most referees achieved scores above 90 and were classified in the good category. These results indicate that the majority of football referees in Region VI Jampangkulon possess adequate cardiorespiratory endurance to support their performance during matches. Regular physical conditioning programs and periodic fitness evaluations are recommended to maintain and improve referees' physical performance.
