This article aims to explore the application of socioscientific problems in chemistry learning for high school students. Through literature analysis, this article presents an in-depth reflection on how socioscientific issues can be incorporated into chemistry learning to enhance student’s understanding and motivate them to learn. The research method used is SLR (Systematic Literature Review). This research procedure is carried out through several stages, namely selecting research questions, determining bibliographic databases, articles, websites, and other sources, determining search terms, determining criteria and methodology, and determining reviews. Of the 25 articles reviewed, 5 research articles were selected that were considered representative of all articles that discussed socioscientific issues in chemistry learning. The results of this literature study research show that the application of socioscientific problems in chemistry learning for high school students affects student learning outcomes and the improvement of 21st-century skills. The results of the research from the review of 5 articles obtained from the selection results using various criteria, the application of the SSI approach to learning chemistry can improve the ability of 21st-century skills on the material of electrolyte solutions, petroleum, and acid-base, showing that the application of socioscientific issues in high school chemistry learning has an effect on student learning has an effect on student learning outcomes and improves the ability of science literacy, critical thinking, and higher order thingking in high school students.
