Abstract

Based on data on the 10 most common diseases at the UPTD Puskesmas Sukaraya in 2022, the clinical examination found typhoid fever cases of 1,001 cases (26.1%). Air Paoh Village which is in the UPTD Puskesmas Sukaraya Working Area with the highest cases of typhoid fever. Recorded in 2022 as many as 342 cases (8.9%). This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and environmental sanitation with the incidence of typhoid fever in Air Paoh Village in 2023. The research design used Cross Sectional. The population was all mothers in Air Paoh Village totaling 2,275 mothers with a total sample size of 97 respondents. The statistical test used is the chi square test. The results of bivariate analysis obtained the variable results of hand washing habits with a p value of 0.008, the habit of washing raw food ingredients with a p value of 0.000, clean water facilities with a p value of 0.000, latrine conditions with a p value of 0.000 and the provision of trash cans with a p value of 0.000. There is a significant relationship between the habit of washing hands, the habit of washing raw food ingredients that are directly eaten, clean water facilities, latrine conditions, provision of trash bins with the incidence of typhoid fever in Air Paoh Village.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus is a degenerative disease that needs serious attention as a non-communicable disease. Data on visits to Diabetes Melitus patients at RSUD dr. H. Mohamad Rabain Muara Enim in 2022 increased to 1455 people diagnosed with Diabetes Melitus reaching 63.2% with an age of 45 to 65 years. This type of research uses quantitative correlation with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 1455 patients with Diabetes Melitus who were at Dr. H. Mohamad Rabain Muara Enim Hospital. The sample taken in this study used purposive sampling method. From the results of the analysis it was found that out of 304 respondents, 189 (62.2%) respondents were sick with Diabetes Melitus, 146 (48.0%) respondents had poor knowledge, 159 (52.3%) respondents had negative attitudes, 159 (52.3%) respondents had risky nutritional status. The results of the chi square test showed a significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of Diabetes Melitus with a p value of 0.000, there was a relationship between attitude and the incidence of Diabetes Melitus with a p value of 0.000 and there was a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of Diabetes Melitus with a p value of 0.000.

Abstract

One of the diseases caused by poor environmental hygiene is Dengue Fever (DHF). Data from the OKU District Health Office, dengue cases in 2022 were 43 cases. Data from the UPTD Puskesmas Sekar Jaya showed that there were 6 cases of DHF in 2022. Of the 4 villages in the UPTD Puskesmas Sekar Jaya area, the highest number of DHF cases occurred in Sekar Jaya Village, with 3 cases. Some factors that influence the occurrence of DHF are the presence of Aedes aegypti larvae and behavioral factors of the host itself. The research design used Cross Sectional. The population was all heads of families totaling 2,373 heads of families with a sample size of 94 respondents. The statistical test used was the chi square test. Based on univariate analysis, it was known that 57 (60.6%) respondents did not have the presence of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae, 55 (58.5%) respondents with good water reservoirs and 52 (55.3%) respondents with a good garbage disposal system. The results of bivariate analysis obtained the variable results of the presence of mosquito larvae with a p value of 0.027, water reservoirs with a p value of 0.000, and garbage disposal with a p value of 0.012. There is a significant relationship between the presence of mosquito larvae, water reservoirs and garbage disposal in Sekar Jaya Village, Sekar Jaya Health Center.
