Abstract

This study investigates Pasar Bambu as a halal culinary tourism destination and its role in enhancing the economic productivity of the Dusun Bat Peken community in Bonjeruk Village, Jonggat Sub-district, Central Lombok Regency. The research analyzes the operational model of Pasar Bambu and assesses its impact on local economic development, while also identifying forms of social change resulting from tourism activities. A qualitative, descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving managers, community members, and other stakeholders in the development of Pasar Bambu. Data analysis included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation applied to ensure data validity. The findings demonstrate that Pasar Bambu has emerged as a culinary destination rooted in local wisdom and the halal concept. It serves as both a center for consumption and a social space that facilitates cultural preservation. The market's presence has significantly contributed to community economic development by increasing household income, generating employment opportunities, fostering the growth of micro-enterprises, and promoting social mobility from agriculture to tourism services. Furthermore, Pasar Bambu has functioned as an agent of social change by encouraging intercultural interaction, enhancing youth participation, and strengthening local cultural identity.
