Abstract

This study examines the effects of external locus of control and learning motivation on technostress among accounting students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Using a quantitative causal-associative design, primary data was collected through online questionnaires from 178 respondents selected by convenience sampling. Multiple linear regression was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results show that external locus of control has a positive and significant effect on technostress (p = 0.037), whereas learning motivation has no significant effect (p = 0.376). These findings highlight the importance of strengthening students’ perceived control and addressing systemic technological barriers to reduce technostress.Keywords: External Locus of Control; Learning Motivation; Technostress
