Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing students’ interest in using QRIS as a technology-based payment system. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consists of Accounting students at Universitas Brawijaya aged 18–22 years who are familiar with or use QRIS. The sample consists of 295 respondents selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria, namely active undergraduate students, aged 18–22 years, familiar with or having used QRIS, and willing to participate in the study. The results show that all examined factors play an important role in increasing students’ interest in using QRIS. Ease of use is the most dominant factor, followed by affordability and accessibility, transaction speed, convenience, and security and data privacy. This indicates that increasing QRIS adoption is not only determined by technological aspects but also by overall user experience. This study implies that QRIS development should focus on improving system ease of use, accelerating transaction processes, expanding accessibility, enhancing user convenience, and strengthening data protection to increase adoption among students.
