Abstract

The development of digital services has encouraged local governments to utilize technology to improve access to public information and services. One of the services implemented in Sumedang Regency is WAKEPO (WhatsApp Information Needs and Online Services). To determine user acceptance of the service, this study aims to evaluate the acceptance of WAKEPO users using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 25 statements based on five TAM variables: Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention to Use (BI), and Actual System Use (AU). The questionnaire was administered to 30 respondents who knew or had using the WAKEPO service. The data were analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel by calculating the mean scores for each indicator and variable. The evaluation results showed that all variables were categorized as good, with mean scores of 3.78 for PU, 3.68 for PEOU, 3.63 for ATU, 3.53 for BI, and 3.47 for AU. Although overall user acceptance was categorized as good, several indicators were still categorized as fair and poor, particularly in terms of user attitude, continued intention to use, and actual system use. These findings provide a basis for recommending improvements through simplified service processes, improved user convenience and understanding, and increased user socialization to optimize the use of WAKEPO sustainably.
