Abstract

Anti-corruption education is an important effort to build student character amid rising moral challenges in schools. In Islamic education, spiritual values such as honesty (shiddiq), trust (amanah), and justice (adl) play a strategic role in shaping anti-corrupt behavior, yet implementation in schools often remains theoretical and insufficiently integrated with spiritual character formation. This study analyzes the implementation of anti-corruption education in building students' self-integrity through Islamic spiritual values in the Akidah Akhlak (Moral Beliefs) subject at MAN 2 Sungai Penuh, and its implications for student character. Using a qualitative field-research approach, data were collected through observation and semi-structured in-depth interviews with the madrasah head, an Akidah Akhlak teacher, and students, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through triangulation. Findings show that anti-corruption education is implemented by integrating Islamic spiritual values into learning, teacher exemplification, school religious culture, and habituation of honesty and trust, resulting in greater student honesty, responsibility, and spiritual awareness. The novelty of this research lies in linking anti-corruption education contextually with Islamic spiritual values within Akidah Akhlak learning, so it is internalized in behavior rather than merely understood cognitively, contributing theoretically and practically to future learning models for building students' integrity sustainably.
