Abstract

Gold investment is one of the most popular investment instruments because it can preserve asset value and is relatively resistant to inflation. However, the decision to invest in gold among Generation Z is influenced by various factors, including economic and behavioral factors. This study aims to analyze the effect of income, consumption patterns, and educational level on gold investment decisions among Generation Z in Denpasar City. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data used were primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 Generation Z respondents in Denpasar City selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using logistic regression (logit regression). The results indicate that income, consumption patterns, and educational level simultaneously have a significant effect on gold investment decisions among Generation Z in Denpasar City. Partially, income and educational level have a positive and significant effect on gold investment decisions, while consumption patterns have a negative and significant effect on gold investment decisions. These findings suggest that individuals with higher income and educational attainment are more likely to invest in gold. In contrast, individuals with higher consumption levels tend to have a lower likelihood of making gold investment decisions.
