Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low level of fine motor skills among children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Al Mujahidin, as indicated by poor hand–eye coordination, low accuracy, and limited independence in completing tasks. This study aims to improve children’s fine motor skills through embroidery activities based on Asma’ul Husna. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the spiral model of Kemmis & McTaggart, consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The study was conducted in two cycles involving 15 children. Data were collected through observation and documentation and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The theoretical framework suggests that fine motor development can be enhanced through repetitive manipulative activities involving small muscle coordination. The findings revealed a significant improvement in Cycle II, where 80% of the children reached the “Developing as Expected” category. The embroidery activity proved effective in enhancing hand–eye coordination, accuracy, concentration, and independence. In conclusion, learning through Asma’ul Husna-based embroidery activities is effective in improving fine motor skills in early childhood
