Abstract

Monitoring and management of water conditions in reservoirs is still done manually, meaning that information regarding water levels and quality cannot be obtained quickly and in real time.. This problem occurred at the Al-Hikmah Pedurungan Islamic Boarding School, Semarang, where the management experienced obstacles in meeting the quality and availability of water in the tank located on the fourth floor of the building. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Water Tank system with Multi-Sensor integration to optimize the quality and efficiency of air use. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a prototype model. The system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller, an HC-SR04 sensor to measure air level, a turbidity sensor to detect air turbidity levels, a relay module, and a water pump integrated with the Telegram application as a monitoring, notification, and remote control medium. The implementation results show that the system is able to monitor air conditions in real-time, classify the status of air level and turbidity, and allow users to control the pump via Telegram. Thus, the developed system can assist the management of the Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in monitoring and making decisions related to water management more effectively and efficiently.
