Abstract

Nutritional problems, especially anemia, are prone to women of fertile  age due to menstrual blood loss and inadequate dietary intake. Health problems, especially anemia experienced by women of fertile age, related to reproductive function can have an impact on the quality of the next generation. Health cadres play an essential role in increasing awareness and behavior of women of fertile age in overcoming anemia. Community service activities aimed  to revitalize cadres in overcoming anemia in women of childbearing age in coastal areas so that they can carry out health promotion. The activity was carried out on health cadres in the Kenjeran Surabaya Health Center work area in July 2024, covering the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The activity method was socialization and revitalization of cadres with brainstorming, lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and mentoring. The media used was a booklet. Most of the cadres showed pre-test scores in the sufficient category. After revitalization, there was an increase in the post-test score on overcoming anemia, most of which were in the good category.Health cadres are dedicated to disseminating information on overcoming anemia in women of childbearing age in coastal areas. It is crucial to empower posyandu cadres in promotion. To ensure the continued involvement and effectiveness of these cadres, we recognize the importance of regular monitoring and evaluation. This ongoing commitment is essential to support the cadres and enhance their role in preventing anemia in women of fertile  age.
