Emotional awareness, self-esteem, social adaptation, stress resilience, and self-regulation are examined as essential conditions for the formation of empathic attitudes. The author interprets empathy as an important psychological quality associated with an adolescent’s ability to understand others, communicate responsibly, and choose supportive forms of behavior in social relationships.
