Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying at the elementary school level can threaten mental health and adversely affect student learning outcomes. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) teaching module based on anti bullying education on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique involving two classes in Cluster I, Kediri District, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and learning outcome tests (pre test and post test) that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant difference in improvement (gain). The average post test score of the experimental class increased by 20.9 points, while the control class only increased by 3.4 points. There was a difference in learning outcomes of 16.4 points between the two classes after treatment. Thus, the anti bullying education based IPAS teaching module is declared valid, effective, and feasible to use to improve learning outcomes while instilling empathy and anti bullying character in students.
