Abstract

This research aims to explore innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, with a focus on increasing student interaction. In today's digital era, the use of AI in education offers opportunities to create more interactive and personalized learning experiences. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach using literature study analysis and interviews with educators and students. The research results show that AI integration, such as the use of educational chatbots and adaptive learning platforms, can increase student engagement, speed up feedback, and facilitate more effective communication between students and teachers. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and the need for teacher training were also identified as factors that need to be considered to ensure the successful implementation of AI in Islamic religious education. It is hoped that this research can provide insight for educators and policy makers in optimizing the use of AI technology to increase student interaction in PAI learning.
