Abstract

This study aims to examine the physical potential, tourism development, and community participation in the development of Siringo Waterfall in Silalahi II Village, Silahisabungan District, Dairi Regency. The study population consisted of local communities, village government officials, and visitors/tourists. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature review, and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that: (1) maintenance and conservation planning by BUMDes Silalahi II has not been implemented optimally; (2) human resources for tourism management remain limited and lack adequate training; (3) the tourism site has not been properly arranged and maintained; and (4) supporting facilities and infrastructure, including restaurants, road access, and accommodation, are not yet adequately available.
