<![CDATA[The low interest in reading and limited access to reading materials remain challenges in fostering a culture of literacy among the Indonesian public. This situation is evident in the vicinity of the Bungus Timur Grand Mosque, which lacks adequate literacy facilities for both children and the local community. This community service initiative aims to establish a mosque-based reading corner to strengthen the local literacy culture in Bungus Timur. The project employs a participatory approach—encompassing observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation—and actively involves university students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN), mosque administrators, and local residents. The program successfully established a reading corner featuring a collection of 120 books, including children's storybooks, general knowledge books, and religious literature. During its implementation, the reading corner was utilized by 35 children and adolescents as well as 20 adults. The results indicate that the reading corner successfully boosted residents' enthusiasm for reading, created a conducive learning environment, and optimized the mosque's role as a center for community-based non-formal education. Program sustainability is ensured through the formation of a management team comprising mosque administrators and local youth. Thus, the establishment of a mosque-based reading corner serves as an effective and sustainable model for strengthening community literacy culture.]]>
