Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged government institutions to adapt through document digitalization as part of bureaucratic modernization. This study aims to design a web- based digital archive application as a document management solution for the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Nabire Regency. The background reveals that manual archiving practices hinder document search, distribution, and reporting, which reduces employee efficiency, increases the risk of data loss, and limits transparency in archive management. The proposed application is expected to provide features for uploading, storing, and retrieving activity archives in a fast, secure, and integrated manner. The novelty of this research lies in tailoring the system to the specific needs of local government institutions, offering a simple, affordable, yet effective model of digital archiving The results are expected to contribute significantly to improving work efficiency, document management effectiveness, and public service quality, while supporting the digital transformation agenda of local governance.
