Abstract

Problems faced by teachers, especially religious teachers, regarding student character are TKR students leaving late or late on the grounds of staying up late, students parking carelessly, students like to ask to go home early, students have taken PIP money for inappropriate purposes, students swearing in front of the class or in the class, students playing games together in groups with a stretched sitting position, and students entering the teacher's toilet. This study aims to determine the Role of Akidah Akhlak Teachers in Improving the Religious Character of Students at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Wangon, supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. This study shows that the role of Akidah Akhlak teachers at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Wangon is very important in improving students' religious character, both as educators, mentors, teachers, role models, advisors, facilitators, motivators, evaluators, and innovators. Structured school programs and effective learning methods also support the formation of religious character, although there are still challenges from the social environment and digital media. Supporting factors include a good religious background, family involvement, and school religious activities, while the main obstacles are low motivation and negative environmental influences. This study emphasizes the need for synergy between schools, teachers, and parents to create a consistent and sustainable religious environment.
