Abstract

This study was conducted to understand the activities of paralegals to victims of sexual violence in the perspective of communication law. This study also aims to understand how the symbolic interaction of paralegals to victims of sexual violence. The research approach uses a phenomenological approach, in this case the activities of paralegals assisted by the LRC-KJHAM. As for data analysis in this study using the Miles & Huberman model. For the research findings in this study, there are two pathways to becoming a paralegal. The first path is through the ‘Sekartaji’, where this group of therapists strengthens the psychological and mental conditions of victims. The second route is through the Gender School. The majority of participants in the Gender School are university students. The alumni of the Gender School are currently pre-volunteers assisting victims, helping the work of the legal division until they can later become paralegals. Based on a review of previous research with similar themes, it can be found that this study has never been carried out, so there are points of novelty in this study.
