General Background The postpartum period involves physical recovery over six weeks, during which mothers frequently experience afterpains. Specific Background This case study examines sustainable midwifery care for a 28-year-old postpartum mother experiencing afterpains at PMB Hj. Nafsul Muslichah Magersari Sidoarjo. Knowledge Gap Detailed clinical evaluations analyzing normal physiological afterpains alongside continuous midwifery observation frameworks remain essential for proper postpartum care. Aims This study aims to provide and evaluate continuous midwifery care for a postpartum mother complaining of afterpains. Results Assessments and observations from December 30, 2019, to February 2, 2020, indicated that the patient experienced normal physiological uterine contractions without complications, showing no discrepancies against established theories. Novelty This study demonstrates that structured continuous midwifery care combined with non-pharmacological interventions successfully alleviates postpartum uterine discomfort. Implications These findings suggest that healthcare providers should consistently apply comprehensive monitoring and health education to manage postpartum discomfort effectively. Highlights: Postpartum uterine contractions generate physiological afterpains during the initial recovery phase.
