Abstract

General Background Modernization and globalization have created an educational crisis by generating high cognitive outputs while degrading moral, social, and religious values, causing parental anxiety regarding ideal school standards. Specific Background This study investigates parent-teacher synergy implemented in homeschooling group learning at Homeschooling Group SD Mutiara Ummah (HSGSD Mutiara Ummah). Knowledge Gap Although alternative non-formal education frameworks like homeschooling groups attempt to address the monotony and shortcomings of conventional schools, detailed explorations of how parents and teachers actively collaborate as learning centers remain necessary. Aims This study aims to determine how parent-teacher synergy is implemented in learning at HSGSD Mutiara Ummah. Results Utilizing a qualitative phenomenological method, the findings reveal that parent-teacher synergy takes the form of learning assistance, parent participation in extracurricular activities, controlling contact books, and active communication between teachers and parents. Novelty This work details the practical synchronization of family-centered education with Islamic values and structured homeschooling group frameworks. Implications These findings establish that active parent-teacher collaboration is a prerequisite for supporting successful learning outcomes and overcoming developmental hurdles in alternative education. Highlights: Homeschooling group learning relies on parents as the center of learning, which requires strong synergy between parents and teachers to achieve educational goals. Collaborative practices include learning assistance, parent participation in extracurricular activities, contact book monitoring, and active communication. Parental support and intensity of communication directly impact student attendance, engagement, and mastery of learning materials. Keywords: Synergy, Learning, Homeschooling, Parents, Teachers

Abstract

General Background Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a strategic role in developing Islamic character and contributing to socio-economic development in Indonesia. Specific Background Modernization in Society 5.0 requires pesantren to adopt technology-based management to optimize administrative, educational, and financial operations. Knowledge Gap Research exploring the specific challenges and systemic potential of technology integration in pesantren management within Society 5.0 remains strictly limited. Aims This study investigates technology integration within pesantren management while evaluating associated challenges and opportunities. Results Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) across multiple academic databases with PRISMA guidelines, findings reveal that technology improves administrative efficiency, financial transparency, and educational delivery, despite constraints like infrastructure limits, cultural resistance, and low digital literacy. Novelty This evidence-based synthesis provides a holistic framework linking traditional Islamic values with modern digital management systems. Implications Technology integration enables pesantren to remain adaptive, progressive, and globally competitive while preserving foundational traditional principles. Keywords : Pesantren Management, Technology Integration, Society 5.0, Information System, Educational Quality Key Findings Highlights Digital platforms like management information systems and financial software enhance administrative accuracy, transparency, and stakeholder trust in Islamic boarding schools. Structural barriers including restricted infrastructure, cultural reluctance, and digital skill deficits present key obstacles to seamless modern technology implementation. Strategic external collaboration, infrastructure upgrades, and targeted digital training allow traditional religious institutions to maintain core values while attaining global competitiveness.

Abstract

General Background: Quality education depends on effective school leadership and continuous professional support for teachers. Specific Background: At SD Muhammadiyah I Gempol, academic supervision is implemented to address teachers’ performance and pedagogical competence through planned professional guidance. Knowledge Gap: The specific role of principals in organizing, implementing, and following up academic supervision within this school context requires further description. Aims: This study examines the strategic role of the principal in academic supervision to improve teacher performance and pedagogical competence. Results: Descriptive qualitative findings show that planning, classroom observation, constructive feedback, mentoring, training, and follow-up support teacher development. Novelty: The study presents academic supervision as a humanistic, dialogical, collaborative, and continuous professional development process rather than merely administrative control. Implications: Flexible scheduling, open communication, teacher participation, peer support, and continuous professional development are needed to sustain academic supervision. Key Findings Highlights Humanistic feedback encourages teachers to reflect on and improve classroom practices. Seven pedagogical competency areas are strengthened through observation, mentoring, and reflection. Flexible scheduling, teacher readiness, and open communication support continuous supervision.
