Abstract

General Background Educational growth and institutional positioning depend heavily on administrators scanning external environments and competitor landscapes while considering internal competencies to manage competitive educational markets. Specific Background This descriptive qualitative study examines the marketing management practices, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Taman as a multitalent school. Knowledge Gap Although marketing mix strategies are essential for institutional viability, comprehensive analyses exploring how 7P elements operate alongside specific institutional challenges and enablers in Islamic primary education remain necessary. Aims This study aims to describe the marketing management carried out by SD Muhammadiyah 1 Taman and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in its multitalent school marketing. Results Utilizing interviews, observations, and document collection analyzed through descriptive qualitative techniques, the findings reveal that the institution employs seven marketing mix elements and leverages supporting factors such as superior programs, strategic location, complete facilities, appropriate costs, effective processes, quality human resources, and student achievements, while overcoming inhibiting factors like shared marketing responsibility awareness, cost perceptions, and technological optimization. Novelty This work details the practical synchronization of Islamic values, academic quality, and multitalent class development within a comprehensive 7P marketing mix framework for modern primary schools. Implications These findings establish that integrating systematic marketing mix elements with strong institutional pillars successfully strengthens school brand image and student enrollment growth. Highlights: SD Muhammadiyah 1 Taman utilizes seven marketing mix elements to achieve its institutional marketing objectives. Supporting factors include superior programs, strategic location, complete facilities, appropriate costs, effective processes, quality human resources, achievements, and student talent development.
