Abstract

General Background Islamic boarding schools face intensifying educational market competition, requiring structured promotional approaches to maintain institutional survival. Specific Background Darut Taqwa Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School implements the Kotler and Fox marketing management model, combining 7P mix strategies with POAC operational functions to expand recruitment. Knowledge Gap Limited empirical research documents how traditional Islamic institutions integrate structured commercial marketing frameworks alongside religious values under dual-campus geographical constraints. Aims This study analyzes the implementation, obstacles, and effectiveness of the Kotler and Fox framework in enhancing student enrollment at Darut Taqwa Ponorogo. Results Descriptive qualitative findings reveal that 7P optimization coupled with POAC management improves institutional reputation and stakeholder trust, despite challenges in digital promotion and facility modernizations. Novelty The research establishes a conceptual model synthesizing classic academic marketing frameworks with faith-based educational leadership in traditional Islamic boarding environments. Implications Educational leaders can leverage structured digital marketing, skill-based curriculum innovations, and alumni networks to improve institutional competitiveness and enrollment growth. Key Findings Highlights Strategic execution of the 7P marketing mix combined with POAC principles strengthens stakeholder trust and drives enrollment growth. Geographic separation of male and female campuses creates operational hurdles in digital marketing adoption and modern infrastructure development. Integrating skill-based programs with digital promotional strategies provides a sustainable model for expanding traditional institution reach.
