Abstract

Poverty remains a challenge in improving community welfare. One effort undertaken to address this is the distribution of productive zakat (alms) to support micro-enterprises run by mustahik (zakat recipients). This study aims to analyze the influence of productive zakat tfunds, business management skills, and business capital on the income growth of BAZNAS Surabaya City mustahik in Kenjeran District. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 45 mustahik as respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that productive zakat funds, business management skills, and business capital each have a positive and significant effect on the increase in mustahik income. Business management skills emerged as the most influential factor. Collectively, these three variables explain 62.1% of the increase in mustahik income. The findings demonstrate that the success of the productive zakat program depends not only on capital assistance but also on the mustahik's ability to manage their businesses. Therefore, BAZNAS needs to strengthen business mentoring programs to optimize the economic empowerment of mustahik
