<![CDATA[Background: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a global health problem with high incidence and mortality rates. The success of TB therapy is greatly influenced by patient adherence to long-term treatment. Medication Therapy Management (MTM) has been developed as a pharmaceutical care approach focused on optimizing medication use and improving patient outcomes. Objective: This review aims to analyze the impact of Medication Therapy Management implementation on treatment outcomes in tuberculosis patients and identify opportunities and challenges for its implementation in healthcare practice. Method: This study was conducted using a narrative review method by searching scientific articles from the PubMed, Google Scholar, Frontiers, and ScienceDirect databases. Articles published between 2016 and 2026 that discussed the implementation of MTM in tuberculosis patients were selected based on predetermined inclusion criteria. A total of 15 articles met the criteria and were analyzed descriptively. Results: The review indicates that the implementation of MTM has contributed to improving treatment adherence, identifying and addressing drug-related problems, improving monitoring of drug side effects, and supporting the success of TB patient therapy. Pharmacist interventions through MTM components have also been reported to have the potential to improve patient quality of life and strengthen collaboration among healthcare professionals. However, MTM implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited human resources, suboptimal documentation systems, and poor patient understanding of therapy. Conclusion: Medication Therapy Management has demonstrated benefits in supporting successful tuberculosis treatment by improving adherence, safety, and effectiveness of therapy. Strengthening the role of pharmacists and providing support from the health system is needed to optimize MTM implementation in TB patients.
