Abstract

Islamic philosophy and humanism are two interconnected concepts that provide a comprehensive understanding of human nature and the objectives of education. This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic philosophy and humanism and explore their relevance to contemporary education. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant scholarly sources, including books, journal articles, and academic publications. The findings reveal that Islamic philosophy views human beings as possessing intellectual, spiritual, and moral potentials that should be developed in a balanced manner within the framework of tawhid (the oneness of God). In contrast to Western humanism, which is predominantly anthropocentric, Islamic humanism is theocentric, positioning God as the ultimate center while emphasizing human dignity and responsibility. The integration of these perspectives gives rise to the concept of religious humanism, which promotes a balance between freedom of thought and moral accountability. In the educational context, the implementation of these values contributes to the development of a holistic and humanistic educational system aimed at nurturing insan kamil (the complete human being). Therefore, the integration of Islamic philosophy and humanism offers a relevant conceptual framework for addressing the challenges of moral decline and dehumanization in the modern era while fostering learners' intellectual, ethical, and spiritual development.

Abstract

Islam sebagai agama universal memiliki karakter dinamis dan adaptif dalam berinteraksi dengan berbagai budaya, termasuk di Nusantara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses akulturasi dan transformasi Islam dalam kebudayaan masyarakat Nusantara serta implikasinya dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) melalui analisis sumber-sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa masuknya Islam ke Nusantara tidak menghapus budaya lokal, melainkan berinteraksi secara harmonis melalui proses akulturasi, yaitu perpaduan nilai Islam dengan tradisi lokal, serta transformasi budaya yang mengarah pada penyesuaian nilai-nilai budaya sesuai dengan prinsip ajaran Islam. Proses tersebut berlangsung secara damai melalui pendekatan dakwah kultural yang dilakukan oleh para ulama. Akulturasi dan transformasi ini tampak dalam berbagai bidang, seperti sosial, politik, pendidikan, dan arsitektur, yang menghasilkan bentuk budaya Islam yang khas di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, Islam tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sistem kepercayaan, tetapi juga sebagai kekuatan yang membentuk dan memperkaya peradaban lokal.
