<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the low ability of fourth-grade students to memorize the salat (Islamic prayer) recitations, as well as their lack of participation and motivation in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam) classes at SD Islam Al-Fattah Payolebar. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the demonstration method in improving the ability of fourth-grade students to memorize salat recitations in Islamic Religious Education. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, memorization tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The findings revealed that the implementation of the demonstration method improved students' ability to memorize salat recitations as well as their learning activities. In the initial condition, the students' learning mastery was only 35%. After the implementation of the first cycle, learning mastery increased to 60%, and it further improved to 93.4% in the second cycle. Students' learning activities also showed significant improvement, increasing from the fairly active category with a percentage of 80% in Cycle I to the very active category with a percentage of 90% in Cycle II. In conclusion, the demonstration method proved to be effective in improving fourth-grade students' ability to memorize salat recitations, as well as enhancing their participation and learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education at SD Islam Al-Fattah Payolebar.]]>
