Background: Dysmenorrhea is commonly experienced by most teenagers during menstruation, it causes discomfort and can interfere with daily activities. Handling of dysmenorrhea can be done in 2 ways, namely pharmacologically (drugs) and non pharmacologically. One of the management efforts to reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) non pharmacologically is with foot reflexology therapy. Objective: To determine the effect of foot reflexology therapy on reducing menstrual pain scores (dysmenorrhea) in adolescents at MA MAFAZA Bantul. Method: This study used a pre experimental design with one group pretest and posttest design and did not have a comparison group (control). The population of this study were all adolescents who experienced primary dysmenorrhea at MA MAFAZA Bantul. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a sample size of 20 female students. The instrument used to measure menstrual pain was the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). The data analysis method used the Wilcoxon test. Results: The average menstrual pain score in female students before being given foot reflexology therapy was 3.70, higher than the average value after being given reflexology massage therapy, which was 1.00. There was a decrease in the average pain score of 2.70. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value < 0.001. Based on these results, the p value <0.05 indicates that there is a significant difference before and after being given foot reflexology therapy. Conclusion: There is an effect of foot reflexology therapy on reducing menstrual pain scores (dysmenorrhea) in adolescents at MA MAFAZA Bantul.
