Abstract

The advancement of technology has encouraged the integration of digital learning media across various educational levels. One of the most widely used media is instructional video, including in the field of cosmetology, particularly for Korean bridal makeup materials. This study aimed to develop a Korean bridal makeup instructional video that is valid, practical, and effective as a solution to learning challenges in the International Bridal Makeup course. This study employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validity was assessed through expert validation involving material and media experts. Practicality testing was conducted with undergraduate students of the Cosmetology Education Study Program through a one-to-one evaluation involving three students and a small-group evaluation involving sixteen students. Effectiveness testing was carried out with students of the Applied Bachelor's Program in Cosmetics and Beauty Care through a field test involving fifteen students. The results indicated that the media expert validation achieved a score of 85%, categorized as highly valid. Material expert I and II obtained scores of 96.4% and 89.4%, respectively, both categorized as highly valid. The one-to-one and small-group evaluations yielded scores of 90.6% and 95%, respectively. The field test results showed an average pre-test score of 30.6 and a post-test score of 100, with a gain score of 1.00. Therefore, the Korean bridal makeup learning video was deemed highly valid, practical, and effective as an alternative learning medium for the International Bridal Makeup course.
