Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the survival and adaptation strategies of migrant female students living in boarding houses, as well as the role of economic capital in shaping their resilience. This research uses a qualitative method with a collective case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of 10 active female students living in boarding houses. Data analysis techniques were carried out thematically to identify key patterns related to economic capital limitations, mental-emotional resilience, adaptation strategies, and the formation of new habits. The results of the study showed that female students applied economic-survival strategies through strict daily budget management, self-cooking, stocking up on food, and limiting consumptive lifestyles. Economic limitations encourage independence, initiative, and a realistic mindset, while social capital acts as an emotional support when facing overseas pressures.
