Abstract

Indonesia's vision as the World Maritime Axis has not been fully realized so far. Meanwhile, the integration of the use of land and sea spatial planning has been proclaimed to achieve Indonesia's vision 2045 to become the Center of World Maritime Civilization. However, there is a worrying paradox: as a maritime nation, the orientation and knowledge of our younger generation tends to "turn away from the sea". Maritime insights have not been firmly internalized in the collective consciousness, especially among children. This awareness is actually also a concern of the government. Through the Indonesian Marine Policy (KKI) pillar 6 on Marine Culture, the government emphasizes the importance of rebuilding ocean literacy. Therefore, to increase the interest of the younger generation in marine technology, digital-based literacy was developed in this community service activity. The socialization method is carried out in various forms, namely the preparation of storybooks, the creation of interactive websites, and learning in the classroom and direct experiences outside the classroom. The results of the activity show the development of interest in marine technology through hands-on learning. Digital-based literacy increases students' enthusiasm in the learning process. Through increasing concern and interest in pursuing the marine sector, it is hoped that the younger generation will grow up who have maritime insights, uphold the nation's maritime values, and contribute to the progress of Indonesia's marine sector in the future.
