Abstract

This study aims to develop an innovative visual design based on the Ua Pua tradition from Bima through illusion graphic design using LED media. The research employs a design-based research method combined with a design thinking approach, including stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through observation, literature study, and documentation. The results show that the transformation of cultural elements such as Uma Lige, egg flower arrangements, and ritual procession into illusion graphics using reverse perspective techniques can create an engaging visual experience. The integration of LED technology enhances visual dynamics through lighting effects, making the design more interactive and appealing, especially for Generation Y and Z. This research contributes to cultural preservation by presenting traditional values in a contemporary visual form that is adaptive to digital developments.
